Rules and Regulations
- Students who enter or exit the Do Jang (school) will acknowledge with a bow. (This is a show of respect only)
- At no time will any student enter the classroom area with shoes on.
- Students late for class will ask instructor for permission to enter class, then he or she will sit in meditation position until acknowledged by the instructor to enter class.
- No jewelry, sweatbands, or chewing gum will be allowed in class.
- Talk on floor only when asking a question of the instructor.
- During class there will be no profanity or laughter.
- Students will address instructor over 4th Dan as Master, under 4th Dan as Mister or Miss.
- Always show respect to parents, adults, senior belt holders, and instructors by always saying “Yes Sir!” or “Yes Mam!”
- When an instructor or Master is holding class, no student will approach him or her directly, you will approach the senior belt holder and ask his or her permission.
- You will conduct yourself on the streets as a lady or a gentleman, and as a true Tang Soo Do representative at all times.
- Tang Soo Do or any other form of self-defense, will be used only as a means to protect your families or the weak.
- There will be absolutely no horseplay, before, during, or after class.

Sparring:
- There must be an adult black belt instructor present when sparring before, during, or after class.
- There will be no contact above the shoulders or the groin. Only light contact to HEAD GEAR is permitted.
- All students must have their own sparring equipment which includes: head gear, hand gear, foot gear, mouth guard, groin cups for males, and chest protectors are suggested for females.
- Students will show respect to whomever is instructing class.
- Any conflict of interest in your school between parties will be settled in the instructors office or beyond school property.
- Your uniform must be regulation Tang Soo Do and be clean and neat at all times.
- No student will be allowed to participate in any tournament or other activity held by a school outside this association, unless authorized by his or her instructor.
- ALWAYS SHOW LOYALTY TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR, YOUR SCHOOL, AND O.M.A.C.
Any infraction of these rules will be dealt with according to the seriousness of the infraction; example: Most serious-demotion of rank, suspension, termination without refund, or other forms of punishment.
